Why HHR?

What is your biggest attraction to an HHR? Obviously we all love them, or we wouldn't be here! I'm addicted, I have 2.

Good gas mileage, good power(SS), good cargo capacity.

I was looking at the SS and the Dodge Caliber SRT4. The SS won gas mileage and cargo capacity. The Caliber had more horsepower, but supposedly a lot worse torque steer.

Design and interior room, I was concerned I would not be able to sit in the HHR, I’m 6’5” and was surprised by the leg and head room.
I’ve owned a few early 50’s GM pick ups and always liked that body style, the HHR reminded me of those and gives me the modern comfort of A/C , much better dependability , fuel mileage and HP . Then there’s the modifications that are readily available.

Since I consider myself to be a unique individual, I knew a red panel would be perfect for a Santa sleigh 🛷

Because it came in a panel version. If it wasn't for that , I'm not sure if I'd have one. I'm into vintage panels { all makers} and 60's + 70's cargo vans, and the cool HHR Panel fits right in...john

Once I saw GM was making a Panel version for 2007 model year, I was hooked. But wanted a 2nd year model at least. I try & never buy 1st year rides. Let others work out the bugs..

And like Greybeard, I only need one as well.

I didn’t really like the PT retro look, but wanted a convertible, several friends had transmission problems with their PT’s , then in 2005, the Auto show had a GM display of the HHR, I had a chance to sit in the display LT , that did it, I was hooked.
