My 2008 HHR SS driver side power window switch for the front windows work intermittently. The back ones work fine. I ordered a replacement switch (controls all 4 windows). How hard to replace? Read one thread that said that you have to disable driver side air bag. Is this true? Please advise....Thanks, Wayne

 

There are no air bags in the door. You should disconnect the battery negative before starting work on electrical system.

Remove the door panel, replace switch, reinstall door panel.

Yup, it’s pretty straight forward, and yeah, please disconnect the negative battery terminal at the battery.

 

I think you can do it without removing the panel. If you have the new one in hand you can see the tab that needs pressing and the tab that anchors.
