Windshield wipers change speed.

07 HHR, never noticed this before, not sure why. But I had the wipers on intermittently with about a 3-4 second pause. Well when I hit 50 mph they went into the slow mode. I was like what's this, so I slowed down and got below 50 they went back to the pause again. Checked my operators manual and it does talk about it. Well this it.

Lots of the GM cars had it. My 09 Malibu did as well.

When your on the first notch of the timed delay wiping it is speed sensitive.

I believe at a certain setting the windshield wipers are speed sensitive. If you do a search, in the Search Box above, you'll probably find many threads related.

Found it in the Owner's manual as well, knew about the radio. Did a search didn't find anything, but thanks for the suggestion.

Aha, that explains it. When I set it at intermittent I tend to forget I did it after a while, then all of a sudden I'll notice they are not pausing. Then I think I had changed it to slow but forgot that too (getting old).

I wonder how many other surprises the computer has for me. I always wonder how many lights are going to go on or off when I open and close the door.
