To counter act the Ethanol, I pour 2 cups of 110 Proof Wild Turkey in the gas tank. I get great gas mileage and the car runs like a bat out of hell!! (And on cold days, I pour 2 cups into me too!!)

I think the alcohol in booze IS ethanol, so you'd only be adding more to the tank...

Most states that have problems meeting EPA emission guidelines use E10. All new automobiles are manufactured to burn E10 ethanol/gasoline mixture. According to what I have read it reduces emissions and DOES NOT harm these vehicles, however there seems to be problems on marine/boat engines and vehicles older then 1980. If you input "E10 ethanol" into any search engine you will find 1000's of pages on this issue. Here is a sample FAQ page I found.

http://www.usenvirofuels.com/FAQ.asp

There are more and more sources being found other then our food to make ethanol. Here is an article about GM buying a stake in a company that makes ethanol from waste (crop waste, garbage, wood chips, scrap plastic). I think they got the idea from Dr. Emmett Brown of Back To the Future fame.

So you are saying your HHR is under the influence of alcohol?
