Well, two months ago I bought:

2006 HHR 1LT Spring Edition
2.4 Ecotec
Sunroof
Leather Seats
155K miles
$3000

It was bought in Florida because I don't want to deal with rust.

I now have 3 2006 HHR's with the 2.4L.

I think with a little careful maintenance these cars will last a long time.

The only caveat is if it has a lot of rust in hidden places, you will have to replace fuel and brake lines.

I'm one of those impulsive people who wants what I want and I want it yesterday.
But, this is a big deal and expense to me and I want to get the right one.
That's why I keep coming back to this forum.
I trust that I will get good information and obviously one of the members went beyond just reading my post, and went and found more information for me.
Whoever you are, I thank you for helping me out.
I plan to spend all weekend calling the dealers in my 4 county area to see if they may have someone wanting to trade up, and the dealership may think they'll have to send it to an auction because they don't want it on their lot.
They don't realize how many "MEs" there are who would love to help them move it off their lot.
I'm disgusted that the dealers continue to post incorrect information.
Or lie to me when I ask if they have an HHR and they tell me they have a couple but they may be on their other lot. BUT, IF I come in they can help me out!
Yep, I get there and geez, they must have just sold them, but, they'd be happy to put me in a CRV, Enclave,RAV4 or even a mini van. SERIOUSLY!!! GRRRR!

I am too especially since the pictured car does NOT have a 2.4 though the listed vin indicates as such. Seems fishy to me. Back away slowly!

When a post has a title, it is often missed. OP said car has been sold.

In the future, I would suggest having the seller(dealer) send you a picture of the sticker on the inside of the passenger glove box door. Then the car can be decoded properly and easily.
