I wonder if this is for real or a hacker attack. I know that traffic there was VERY low. I could miss a week and there be only ~50 posts, if that!

In honesty...you could read and post for free. The $30/yr. gave you access to a "members only" area. However, the only benefit of this was the posted TSB's in entirety. But he stopped posting those in entirety and resorted to the short versions available from Edmunds, about a year ago.

So really....no benefit.

How ironic...just looked at it early friday afternoon since this site was down . That used to be the only game in town up until this site started in august of 2005. Was a good site at one time, but gradually died off. R.I.P.

I just never understood the $30 per year. Reminds me of how IBM used to do business in their service area. Rates are three times everyone elses' - say $95 per hour back then. Business drops off, so management decides, got to have more revenue. So they raise it to $130 per hour. Customers go elsewhere. So they decide they need more revenue. Raise it to $160 per hour. etc. etc.

Point is, how many will pay $30 to visit the site? Drop it to $15 and you'll get three times as many. Prove you've got the visitors to the site, and the advertisers will also show up.
