If he doesn't refund you the remaining money for the site, I'd call the BBB and file a complaint against him.

You can contact him through there. I just did; I asked if I could get a discount on his weather products for the remaining 9 months of my account from the hhrclub forum. I think I already know what the answer will be!

Wow! I was just the other day thinking about joining that forum. I went there occasionally. i noticed there was not a lot of new post very often. I guess that a lack of participation was it's downfall.

Lucky me, guess I saved $30

That $30 price tag is why I didn't join that one.

I joined this one for free but have since paid for the Premium Member status.

It's a heck of a lot cheaper, but I haven't got my decal, that it says you will get.

Not that big of a deal, would just like to get more traffic to the site though.

This is really unbelieveable.....

just how many people will continue to say, "it cost money to join" the other one. IT DID NOT.....as I indicated in post #7.

That forum had the same "guidelines" as this one. If you wanted the extra benefits you paid the money. If not, you just read and posted to the forum discussions.

My God people, what part of that do you not understand.

True, but that forum had a paid member only section where a non paying person could not access. And from i gathered a bit more activity was going on in that section than in the "free" part , FWIW.

So does this site. It's called the dungeon and requires premium membership.

Sorry, I also thought that hhrclub.org was a pay only site. It certainly was not clear that it was "free". Yes, you could read the forums, but I thought it was poorly laid out and hard to find stuff. I only perused it 2 or 3 times. I'm not surprised that people lost interest.

Snoopy, as I said in my post, I understood that it was a "donation." However, IMHO, there are certain expectations I have regarding these kinds of things. Simply things like honesty and integrity.

Will the $30 kill me? Of course not. It is the principle of it for me, that is all.

Oh, by the way, still no reply from him from my Email...

I joined that site when I first got my HHR, but let it lapse when renewal time came. $30 isn't something to sneeze at, for most people anyway. I find this site better anyway. Plus, I found it redundant to have two sites for one car. Kinda like HD / Bluray: pick one and stick with it !
