Undercoating/paint protection schemes are a waste of money. The car is double-galvanized and literally dipped and coated in epoxy before any paint is sprayed on the car. No undercoating or protection scheme is going to give you any better corrosion performance than what already comes on the car.

Ditto that. You are more likely to have problems with undercoatings applied by aftermarket sellers then not.

so HHRs should not become rustbuckets after a few years like all the cavaliers around here did?

Don't do it... It'll void your corrosion warranty anyway!

BLAQ, it all depends what you mean by a few years. In the owners manual, there is a rust through warranty of 6 years or 100,000 miles.

I believe this only covers rust coming though the paint from the backside of the body panel. If the rust occurs due to unrepaired paint damage then you are SOL.
