Doesn't matter if you had the ignition switch "fixed" back in '07. It would have been replaced with one of the old style(possibly defective) switches.
GM is having new and improved ignition switches manufactured. You will still need to have it replaced again with the new, redesigned switch.

Sweet Jesus, God O'mighty....doesn't anyone read related threads and posts before they post a very redundant question?

I have had so many people think this recall is going to be a fix all!!!!!!! You guys have no idea. I gota laugh or ill hit something LOL. The worst thing is MOST of the cars we have at the dealer the people got rental cars 1/4 of them are totals, salvaged titles, now thats even a bigger laugh.

OK, just going to close this thread as everything has been said that can be said, and before Snoopy has a stroke.

Not to sound like a broken record, or a defective MP3 download for the younger folks born post vinyl.

But taking a minute or two to read all the posts in a thread will almost always answer your question before your fingers hit the keyboard.

Update...

Being reduntant here but in case it gets missed in the main recall thread, now the ignition lock cylinders are going to be replaced.

Please see the link below, thanks....
