For what ever reason the kit for the XM upgrade doesn't work on the SS. At least that's what GM says.

Mine came with it too. Not sure why you can't add it?

This may be my first quote of myself. Hmmm. I checked for 2009 and XM can't be added to any of these vehicles. (LS LT SS). It has to be a programming issue with the new generation OnStar modules. Maybe later down the road.

the reason they say it isnt a option on 2009 is because its standard, its supposed to be standard on 08 ss models too. I just got back from gm and they got me smokin mad, the ahole gave me a number to call , it was a subscription line for xm, what good is that, wouldnt I need a xm raido first, they have me so mad that I am ready to set fire to all my gm products, Ive spent 100,000 dollars with them in the last 18 mos.I cant belive it , not 1 person at either dealerships in my area even knows how to research it.

Does your radio have a CAT button? Give me the last 8 of your VIN and let me look up your vehicle options.

I also have the 6 disc pioneer system, it should already have XM built right in. Your supposed to get your first 3 months free (minimum since they have some kind of full package deal right now, least in Canada anyway).

Have you tried to talking directly to one of the Sales managers?
