the tree have NOTHING to do with his time. you can sit at a tree for 5sec and run the same time. the clock starts when your car rolls and trip the beams.

To achieve good numbers on street tires is more impressive, preventing the car from being instantly dismissed as 'over-prepared' or 'drag only' as it could be perceived on slicks.

The drag radials can be used on the street.

The radials can fit the stock wheels, thus clearing the big brakes on the Cobalt. Using the stock wheels also makes the car appear more impressive and 'stock-like'.

There's a whole aura and mystique attached to the usage of fast street tires instead of slicks. It's a pretty cool movement!

But I got extra rims now I think i will find out tomorrow if they fit and if they do they will just be my drag rims? so in that case why not do the slicks?

Correct. i learned that the hard way last Sunday...I released the clutch and stalled the engine ..Oh well packed it up and went home was eliminated @ San Antonio Raceway bracket event
