17" rims on SS for winter?

Any SS out there running stock or otherwise 17" rims with winter tires? Please post up and tell me your configuration. I'm considering a Malibu 5x110 rim with a 215/50 R17 tire. Anyone know how much difference a 45 series or a 65 would make. 6.5 inch wide or 7 inch wide rim? What kind of wiggle room do I have. I'm checking craigslist to try and catch a deal for winter.

If you dont have the brembos up front then you can even run a 16" rim. A 65 would be a quite a bit taller then a 45 and for the snow a tall tire is nice man. If you can then rock a 7" rim.

17" snow tire

Tire rack 99.00 17" alloy rims and perelli scorpion snows, getting the tire sensors from e bay 100.00 for all four - part # 15268606. Chevy wants twice that amount. ready for the CT snow!
