Funny you started this thread. I just got hit with a chunk of rubber from a Semi blowing one of it's tires on the 5 freeway yesterday. Put a nice scratch and gouged my bumper. Man was I pissed!

I didn't wanna whine but I can in this thread.

Some catsack semi was in front of me on the freeway spewing bark and dirt and rocks. I slowed down to like 30 but I still got tagged a tiny bit on the front left fender.

I can definately relate to all of this. Mine has 29000 miles. The front bumber has been hit with a shopping cart, the rear liftgate has been hit by something putting a nice dent to the lower left of the liscence plate. The rear fenders have all the nice rock dings from not having running boards. The hood has all kinds of rock dings. I drive 120 miles roundtrip everyday to work, mostly interstate, which has been repaved twice. I know bout the door dings to, my doors have their share. No matter where you park. My Mazda6 got a nice one even parked way off. I told the wife the next door ding i get, if i can tell its the car beside me, ITS GONNA HAVE A NICE NEW PINSTRIPE OR FLAT TIRES. Tired of this crap.

You'll go mad trying to keep your car flawless. Over the years I've become real good with touch-up paint and scratch remover. I no longer park far away from the pack, I call it "hide in plain sight"...so far so good, with no door dings in the past 3 years (knockonwood).

just do what MR. ANAL does!!!!

park in the garage and leave it there

and you probably think I do

but really, I do about 100 miles per day, mostly highway and have my share also, with 5500 miles, I have some on the hood and one on the left rear door. will get out my touch-up soon and make the best of it. I won't get a bra, never did like the looks of them, or how it discolors the paint over time, and I rather spend the money on a MOD, rather than the 3M clear. Believe or not I have mellowed over the years, but still get annoyed with the chips....
