3" Exhaust And Downpipe

I know magnaflow has exhaust coming(I am a dealer) but wanted to get a feel for a stand alone off road downpipe and Catted downpipe.I am working with one of my other vendors on some exhaust products for th HHR SS specifically. I would like to see if there would be a market for these,as an alternative to what is coming from everybody else.

Please post up :

Concerns
Cost
Material
Coatings
Warranty

Thanks
Andy

Concerns: Being to loud, deleting all cats, throwing codes/voiding warranty
Cost: I know you are out to make money but let's be reasonable, complete TBE for under $1,000
Material: Durable, worry free, rust free perhaps SS
Coatings: NA
Warranty: I am big on these, I want to buy a product that shouldn't break on me, but if it does, take care of me, don't try and find a loop hole to void the warranty, stand behind your products.

Concerns: I also want a stock sounding aftermarket exhaust, that also uses CATs, and doesn't throw a code, and a WHP / WTQ Dyno to show increase.
Cost: Under a $1000 including CAT
Material:Aluminum with Manderal <---Spelling Bends, all weld no clamps
Coatings: NONE
Warranty:Atleast a 3 year only if installed by a shop.

Also, I want something that will fit and not rub or vibrate / resonate inside. I was one of the first to get Pacesetter Headers on my 98 Z28 and yes there is a fit problem and also I have true duals so I know how crappy it makes a car feel.

PS. I think it's safe to say that we don't want the Ricer Fart can sound.

I believe that Magnaflow's tests with a different downpipe showed no significant improvement (that along with all the other negatives means there is likely not much of a market for the downpipe). I am waiting to see the cat-back resonator and silencer from Magnaflow). Got to be superb craftsmanship and not too loud, or I have no interest.

Here's my wish list.

Concerns:
1. High quality automated robot welds
2. Nice rumble, but not loud. NO resonation or drone. Not ricey.
3. Mandrel bends
4. If kit is multi-section: Slip fit pipes with stainless steel band clamps
5. Factory exhaust hanger positions and provisions
6. Slight improvement in power, but no outrageously high expectations
7. Large polished round stainless steel rolled muffler tip, similar to the factory SS
8. Equivalent or less weight than the stock exhaust
9. Bolt-in, no cutting or welding
10. Proximity of tubing to underside body: no touching or rubbing under any normal condition
11. Same or better ground clearance as factory exhaust

Cost:
1. 650 or less

Material:
1. T-304 stainless steel tubing
2. T-304 stainless steel muffler (interior and exterior) - polished exterior
3. If clamps required: Stainless steel band clamps

Coatings: None

Warranty:
1. Lifetime on materials and workmanship

got TOO MANY ADM parts to put my input on the list......and i opted for the 2.2 and minimum for JUST A DAILY so the exhaust really doesn't apply to my HHR.....

but my SS has an entire mandrel bent TIG welded custom exhaust from kooks headers with magnaflow mufflers that andy cooked up for it......you guys have yet to see HANDY ANDY's work....if he does it i can assure you it CANNOT be done BETTER.....as good and equal YES, better - NEVER.....

andy has been building CUSTOM parts and setups in the LSx world for decades and he has proven his mettle over and over and over again.....i personally can vouch for the products he has PIONEERED in the TBSS world.....you guys are SO FORTUNATE to have his expertise developing products for your SS's......looking forwards to the products and results.....maybe i'll add an SS Panel to the driveway......
