Hi All,
I have a 2008 SS Sunburst Orange with the smoke accent stripe. I had to have the hood repainted after it was attacked in a parking lot. The shop can't find replacement stripes. Anyone know of a source or an alternative?

A professional pin striper, if they aren't available from GM anymore. I'm surprised a good body shop doesn't have a source. The insurance adjuster should know how to get it.
Try GoOgling "pin stripe shop Seattle" Or, look for a "custom car shop" I found 5-10 in Seattle with a quick search.

 

What edition do you have , a spring edition? Or special edition? Or are you stripes dealer installed? If yours is an SS then most likely dealer installed, an sign company should be able to cut you new stripes from vinyl

 

Go to a shop that does vinyl overlays. They can copy your stripes & duplicate them for you.

Mine is an SS. My build sheet indicates that the stripe was applied at the factory. The challenge in matching the stripe it is all one piece including the color between the stripes. The stripe had to be screened on the back of a transparent tape or the body color was painted on the top. It's all on the same surface. I can't feel any change in height when I run my fingernail over it.

 

Or, is the body color part clear? Anyway, there are shops that do it everyday. The people that do window tinting and body wraps especially.
