Any word on release date for Brembo brakes?

The title says it all, anyone hear or see a timetable for availability of the Brembo brake pacage? Original road test implied it would be packaged with the limited slip differential, but I have seen no confirmation of those comments. Thanks

No one seems to have the brembo breaks yet. I read in one of the reviews that they were expected in Spring. Im heading to the Chicago Auto show next friday and will see if I can get any info.

Chasing the Checkers?

Are you guys going to race the HHR SS competively? The stock brakes seem awfully good to me and very adequate but I would imagine that if racing that they may fade with repeated hard usage and the Brembos might come into play.

I heard the Brembo package would be released first when the Turbo Cobalt SS arrives, my source mentioned that they may not offer it on the HHR.

Its the look and wow factor for me, and bragging rights I guess. I know the factory upgraded SS brakes are fine.

I agree, the factory brakes seem very good so far, the Brembos might just be bragging rights. I'm thinking of auto-crossing or some track days with mine. I may retro fit the Brembos.

I heard the Colbalt SS is due in April? Either way Im pretty sure the Brembo brakes will be available when I have enough cash for a hefty down payment on the SS.

I talked for a long time to an engineer that was at the GM Press preview in
AZ where they had 10 HHR SS cars for the press to drive. He said most had
the Brembo option but he was able to drive both cars both on the street and on the track. He said on the street there was any difference between the SS
stock brakes and the Brembo brakes. They both stopped really well. On the
track, he could tell a difference after a few laps of HARD running where the
Brembo brakes held up better. The Brembos have the WOW factor for sure.
