Daimler will rot in hell for what they did to Chrysler. They were rolling hit after hit after hit back in the 90s.

Cab forward design, Intrepid, Neon, Ram, Town and Country, PT Cruiser, Prowler, Viper, 300M, Sebring Convertible, etc...

After the "merger of equals"? Just look at them.

Current crap... er... crop of Dodges have very nice interiors if you're 5' 1" or less. Any taller and you're bound to have an elbow or knee in some incredibly sharp protrusion of a dash panel that seems to have been designed for the sole purpose of inflicting pain.

You would think a Neon with the 2.0 engine would get good gas mileage when i fill up at 11 gallons but currently get less than 200 miles to a tank and I drive easy. Think farthest i have gone was like 270 still pretty I think. Would never own a Dodge/Jeep/Chrysler etc. product ever AGAIN!!

Thats weird. I had a 98 Neon before the HHR and regularly got 28 or better in the city. I even got 40 once on a road trip. The automatic in the neon is horrible for both performance and gas mileage. I had a 5 speed in mine.

Not really

But I did buy a charger last year and I love it. Then my wife let me buy the HHR SS this year am I lucky or what. She'll be driving the charger while I take the HHR to Hawaii with me!!

I get around 24 MPG all around driving in the Charger. It's the 3.5 v-6 auto (they only come in auto)

I remember reading that the auto Neon had a 3-speed in it.

Yup. My mom had a 95 with the auto. It's a night and day difference between the Auto and Manual.

IMO... The only cars that match fuel MPG, performance numbers of 0-60 and 1/4 mile, and general size of the HHR SS are the Honda Civic 4dr SI and the Mini Cooper S. Those were the two running mates for a new Daily Driver/Commuter for me.

Mini handled the best and got the best mpg---turbo'd

Civic had a roomier ****pit and great maunal--- NA

HHR SS had the best amount of space and all around feel of fun mixed with mpg and stlye!

Dodge sure does make some nice looking cars, very tempting. I looked up the word "Dodge" in the thesuarus (not some giant creature that used to roam the earth) and these are the synonyms for "dodge": artifice, avert, avoid, cheat, deceive, ditch, duck, elude, equivocate, escape, evade, hedge, parry, prevaricate, *****foot, quibble, shift, shirk, sidestep, side step, skirt, swerve, trick

They are aptly named, I don't think anyone wants any of those terms
