Very possible. You kind of have to walk these cars out even with comp mode on. The tires have a hard time with grip.
I know with the GM turbo upgrade punching it with the auto even rolling 25-30 MPH will light the tires up.
You kind of have to learn this car. Even with little lag on the turbo the power will still roll in hard once it catches up.

When you dropped the hammer, did it spin the tires, or just fall on it's face?
If you WOT, then ease off a little, it will dump boost, and you have to stand on it again, WOT, to get the boost back up, and don't backpedal.
I have Trifecta dual tune, and traction is always a problem with tune on, and even WOT with stock tune. Cold weather or rain, I keep stock tune on, as Trifecta tune will light the tires real quick, up to about 55mph, and get squirley as hell. Even in the dry with tune on, it will smoke the tires easy.
Once it hooks, she hauls butt. I get around 25-26 lbs. boost, WOT.
If it's not boosting, and just shutting down , you have a problem. Keep you leg in it, and if it's still not boosting from the get go[up to around twenty lbs.], WOT, then get it checked out. If you have stage 1 ,then you should be getting at least 20lbs. boost and more. Stock tune around 15 lbs boost. Just my 2 cents. "Moon"
P.S. cold weather should make it run harder. I can tell the difference when it's chilly[out here on the right coast, anything under 55F, is chilly].

Need to have it looked at. Thats not normal, by any strech. Grt it back to normal, and with the stock tune, you should give the Subby a good run. With tune he's toast[unless he too is modded]. "Moon'
