yea i know of Bryan..... very smart guy, definitely knows his stuff.

i've been in the Cobalt scene for 4.5 years now and have picked up a lot of good information & experience.... it's nice knowing the right people.

Alex already has the GMTU, I thought that disabled the learn-down function of the ECM and any power-adders, like DP, exhaust, IC piping were not affected? So if this is the case, why the additional tune?

Not to get past the learn down.
That "feature" is history once the GMTU or aftermarket tune is done.

The 'puter thinks it's working within certain ranges.
New gear such as IC piping puts the system out of those ranges.

The tune will dial in at whatever ranges you're dealing in now.

An aftermarket tune will even squeeze out a boatload of HP without any mods.
It's basically much more precise than the factory tune.
