mine backfires but thats because im running a catless downpipe and such. Most of the time it backfires when its real humid and hot out. nothing wrong with that on my car. are you stock??

 

Yep, bone stock. No mods or stage kit to engine, inlet or exhaust.

 

What octane gas are you runnng? I have had the back-fire problem but mine went one step further and threw a CEL, reduced power.......

 

In your case an occasional backfire is all good. I mean the only damage your doing if any is to the cat. Besides that i wouldnt worry about it

 

Mine has backfired a few times, normally while shifting. But its okay, as long as its not alot n very few/random its not harmful. Now if its while ur giving it gas n it backfires is bad or backfires alot. :) I kinda like it n wanna go catless :p
