Baseplates to Tow the SS Behind a Motorhome
Baseplates to Tow the SS Behind a Motorhome
For those who might want to tow their SS behind a motorhome, Blue Ox has finally released the baseplate kits for them. Before this, you had to go to Demco, which is not one of the majors. The HHR is inherently a great "dinghy" vehicle and the SS was the only model that was previously left out due to the unavailability of the proper baseplates
(baseplates are vehicle-specific adaptors for the towbar).

Roadmaster makes one also 523159-1 but I get a malware warning for roadmasterinc.com in firefox and chrome. It's interesting to see the different way these mount. I read somewhere that the blue ox uses nuts welded to wires that you have to feed through the frame rail which could be a pita. I think the blue ox and roadmaster have removable front pins and the demco does not.
