Bike Rack Question

Hi all. Got a 2008 SS without factory roof rails. Looking for a bike rack that might fit over the spoiler on the hatch rather than go to the deal and have them install roof rails (actually, I would prefer the roof rack, but it seems like too much of a process to get the rails installed). Anyone have any insight into trunk racks for the SS? Maybe even costs of installing roof rails? Thanks!

This is the rack I have for mine, although I don't have a spoiler, I don't see where it would make a difference since the top of the rail goes just above the rear window.

Or you can have a trailer hitch installed and get one like this...

Thaks for the reply. How about the straps, though? Wouldn't those compromise the integrity of the spoiler?

I just looked at a photo of the spoiler on the SS and I probably wouldn't chance using the straps either.

My suggestion would be to go to a reputable bike shop in your town if you have one and see if they can come up with a solution.

I use a hitch one. You could get these and mount them anywhere or on any car simply.

a good thing.
I saw something similar in a store of building materials. It seems for the transportation of glass.
I'll take it on board. Better than metal structures on the roof.
