Boost question..again

I have been posting on here about issues with my 09 SS with Stage 1 kit lately. I just got it back from the dealer yesterday because the lower map sensor was hitting the AC comp. It shredded the wire connector. Thats now fixed. Before that the car was feeling sluggish and the tech who first installed the kit even said it felt wierd. When the kit was put in in May, the car was a beast. Stomp it off the line and it instantly boosted high, it would just go from 0 boost to 7,10 then 20-24 in seconds.
Now,if you nail it,it feels like it did stock. The car barely breaks the tires loose,it does not jump forward....rather it just crawls, the boost gage goes from 1,3,5,10 (boosting slowly)....then will hit 17-20.....but again, not the violent "holy crap!" feeling it had. Tech is thinking maybe the torque converter. Mine is an automatic obviously. The car also shifts in to 2nd a little too early when nailed, I used to be able to spin 1st into 2nd,now the power drops off when it hits 2nd before boosting again. I know this all sounds wierd and its hard to explain. Any ss/ automatic can chime in on the characteristics of theirs when they hammer it from a standstill?

I know mine will build the boost quickly, but I don't recall it ever spinning tires on the 1-2 shift. Also if you are hammering it from a standstill, do you have it in competition mode? Otherwise T/C will kick in a ton and really kill the power. But it really does sound like something is still wrong with yours.

^^Agreed, I've spun through 1st + 2nd gear, then it just flies once it shifts into 3rd.

Forgot to mention that yes I am running it in Comp mode......always......lol. I am convinced there is something wrong too. Let me ask you guys, when you hammer it from a stop, what boost are you getting and how quick does it hit your max before it shifts? Like I said mine is SLUGGISH from start so what levels are you seeing?

Is it possible they did not get the T map in right and you have a leak?

Mine spools up quick and fast. I never look at the guage but my Aeroforce is set to light up once I hit 20+ and it does it quickly.

In normal driving it will jump from 5 to 17 just like that.

Anything is possible.....but it was also just replaced yesterday and it runs the same as before. Only reason it was replaced was because the wire shredded from hitting my AC comp. Mine ran just as you described.....

Have you checked all your connections for boost leaks? Are you still using the stock IC and IC piping? If so have you checked them for cracks, clamps tight? Have you checked all your vac. lines? Those would be the first places I would check.

Mine also hit the AC compressor. They had to remove the bumper and adjust the IC forward only a little. After that I was running fine.

Yours is the third one I have heard doing this.

What did they do to get the clearance?

The tech told me he grinded away a slight bit of a pipe where it was hitting. He also did something else with the connector but I dont know offhand. I will ask him at work on Monday and get exact details.
