However, it is easy enough to paint them with a high quality epoxy caliper paint like eastwood's

I saw an SS cobalt on Sunday 4 door silver. It had the Brembo's on the front and they were black and the stock caliper on the rear and they were Silver. I don't know if the HHR SS are the same.

I don't find the 08 SS brakes to be lacking, and I'm happy I can use snow tires with 16" steel rims for winter driving. Larger calipers rules this out.

HHR SS is the same. They both use the stock rear disc brakes for the specific car type. The Cobalt SS and HHR SS have different rear disc configurations.

Yeah, the Cobalt uses sweet ventilated rear rotors...why don't they offer these parts on the HHR???

Yep, the stock solid rear rotors

I'm sure the Cobalt SS gear will bolt right on the rear of an HHR SS since they use the same axle. I'm going to try this here shortly and see how it turns out.

Does anyone have information on where I can buy the Brembo bakes for my 08 SS? I see that someone had them installed but I didn't see information on where they were purchased. I checked Brembo's website and they didn't have anything listed for a 2008 HHR SS.

Information would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Your local Chevrolet dealer. They are stock off the shelf parts.
