carpet wear

anyone else have this problem? looks like im wearing a hole in my carpet next to the clutch pedal. im not sure if the dealer will fix this under warranty or not. i only have 6k miles on it now too. on the other side near the gas pedal there is a rubber pad of some sort, i would think they would have put that on both sides considering how close the carpet is to the clutch pedal. its not like im 7 ft tall with a size 15 foot, really im a 10. only way i can not touch the carpet is if i depress the pedal on the far exterme right side, but that not comfortable...

This is one of several reasons why I put all-weather floor mats in all of my vehicles.

Wow, that is crazy! I have never seen that kind of wear with only 6K mi.??

What kind of shoes do you primarily wear? Is there any chance that you have some sort of fluid or something on your boot that may be attacking that?

I looked at mine out of curiuosity and there is no wear at all with 17K miles. I do not understand why the floor mat on the drivers side is so short though... I have never seen any like this where it doesn't go anywhere up by the pedals. I think they just look weird!

i just wear sneakers. just sixe 10 lol. there is nothing leaking on it. its totaly dry, i always wipe my feet before i get in too. i think the carpet is bulging out on that side. its just one of MANY things the dealer will be fixing. i just wanted to know if anyone else was getting the same. no big deal, its a cheapo sports car. but still gotta be the best bang for the buck.... where did you guys get the husky liners?
