changing brakes already!!!????

My 08 has 35000 kms and my frony pads are gone!
wow.
call the dealer for a part number so i can buy them from my buddy. his family owns a napa store. For ****s and giggles i ask the parts guy at the chev dealer how much they charge. now this is just front pads mind you...
$299 WTF!!!LMFAO

Anyways my buddy was having a hell of a time finding anything for a hhr ss. so i said check 08 cobalt ss. he found lots. but i wanted to be sure they are the same. would make sense for them to be but wanted see if anyone knew.
thanks in advance.

make sure the backs are doing their job, cause it sounds like the fronts are over working. Thanks for the tip on the price, cause at that price maybe a brembo kit is needed :)

38k miles and my fronts are now indicating they're kaput. Will begin calling for rates this weekend as well. Im not too happy about your quotes...I just got done buying new tires for my silverado. Now I need to fork out nearly $200 for brakes!?!

So here's the deal.
brakes on the 08 hhr ss and either one of the cobalts in SS trim(turbo or not) are the same. makes sense same platform. top grade pads from my friends NAPA store are $89.99.

THANKS GM!rof:
