Hello. I am looking at an HHR SS tomorrow. It has 130,000 miles on the clock.
Is there a checklist for items to inspect?
The current owner tells me that he has performed regular oil changes using synthetic oil. He also mentioned that he changed the transmission fluid twice, first time at 50,000.
The guy has owned the car since 30,000 miles and seems to have a genuine reason to sell.
I am an absolute novice here but I want an HHR SS.
How many miles might I get and what types of things go wrong at how many miles.
(I realize that this information is contained elsewhere in the forum probably. I have to work today and see the car tomorrow. Therefore I would be most grateful for the cliff notes and said checklist - if available).

Good luck with the test drive and if you don’t feel comfortable with anything, don’t buy it.

 

What is the worst that can go wrong? How much is a new engine / turbo set up / trans?

Price is individual, the SS isn’t your run of the mill car! The price is what the seller wants for the SS.
It’s up to you to agree or negotiate a lower price!
Every deal is unique.
