I had a 92 Tyfor many years. Had a TE60 Garrett turbo and it ran 13.0
qtr. Absolute a rocket ship off the line and the TE60 woke up the top end.

I STILL have a brand new Typhoon complete motor waiting for a new hotrod
project.

Mine is still stock other than K&N filter. These things are a blast out of the hole. I know it would beat my 07 Shelby across the intersection

I had one in 92. It was a fun ride and you could get almost anything in the 1/8th if they spun at all.

I remember going to the driving experience for them right after I had ordered mine, it was at the old Fulton County Stadium in the parking lot. They would put down a rubber strip under two tires on one side soak the whole thing with Murphy's Oil Soap and then tell you to just step on it. Thing would still just rocket out of the hole.

They were a very fun and different type of vehicle but they also did have some mechanical problems mine got to be a little scary as I had the steering gear fail and the Brakes fail due to an ABS issue. STill it is probably one of my favorite cars I had owned.

This is my first post on this forum. I used to sell the HHR SS when I worked for one of the local Chevy dealers here in Anchorage (AK). Anyway I have owned Syclone #2227 since Aug '07 and it's a blast to drive but can be a nightmare to work on. Mine just turned 60000 miles and is in near show room condition. It's stock except for being lowered and has roller rockers. Can't get on it too much though, not in Alaska in winter
