Control arm rebuild?
#21
Hey fonque,
How did that LCA with solid-bushing job go?? Would you mind letting us know how much they cost? I'm thinking that I should get mine replaced while I'm doing everything else...
Looks like Powell Race Parts might be a great resource for some of our needs in upgrading suspension parts, eh?

I was really impressed with the powell racing parts folks! Very helpful indeed - and it seems their LCAs are of very high quality. But at about $380 (per side) for the loaded LCA (aluminum, of course) with the special bushings installed, they are too pricey for my budget.
But I can certainly imagine that an upgrade for the LCA bushing could really be worth the investment (for those so inclined).
They will also sell just the bushings - not sure about the price on that (might be $199 per side).
Contact them for details. Sure wish I could afford 'em!

I actually attempted the install this weekend. The passenger side control arm went in fine, but the drivers side rear bushing bolt rusted solid to the collar. Once I get the drivers side arm installed, I still have to install ES sway bar bushings, ingalls sway bar end links, and my stance coilovers. No more suspension mods after that.
