I'm 30 with a decent driving record (had troubles when I was younger, no accidents but reckless and careless and 6 month suspension). I pay about $800 a year with a $200 deductable.

I just got my insurance renewal for 2010. The total cost for 1 year is C $763.00. $374.00 for the SS, $282.00 for the Astro and $107.00 for my Bigfoot travel trailer. I also have a $0.00 deductible on glass/collision for the SS and the Astro, and $50.00 deductible for the travel trailer. The SS has a full value replacement for 5 years, which means that if i have an accident with the SS, and it is totaled, they would buy me a 2010 SS to replace the wrecked 2008 SS.

I didn't notice much of any difference in insurance coverage between my GP and the SS.

Insurance rates will change based on the company, location, driving history, etc. Kind of hard to compare to others here.

I've shopped around and found USAA to offer me the best prices over the years. Good luck.

Before or after 3 speeding tickets? My deducts are 250: before $86 per months....after $128 per month. Expensive when the State Troopers are out and the Highway is empty and begging you to open it up!

Thanks for the input gang. It seems to me mine isn't totally out of line, but it probably will be if they rack me up for higher mileage use. If they do, I'm gonna start shopping around for sure.

State Farm has been good to me, and I have been a customer for years... But it is starting to get expensive and it is worth checking around to keep it competitive.
