Curious: Did you test drive an LS/LT before you bought the SS?

Not me. I want the SS. Might be signing on Sun. if the dealer comes through with what he stated over the phone. If i'm gonna sacrifice 4WD for better MPG, you bet your @ss it's gonna have some balls.

I drove a 1LT Auto because that was all the dealer had on the lot. I found another dealer with a 1LT stick and drove that. I sat in an SS at the NY Auto Show.

I ordered my SS without ever driving one.

No, I never drove an LS/LT before we bought our SS. I wasn't really interested in an HHR until the SS hit the streets.

I started reading about them online and looking at the details and I knew I had to drive one! I drove and Orange 5spd SS the dealer had on the lot and I was hooked! They told me they also had a Victory Red 5spd demo with 3K mi. on it that their parts manager was driving that day... They cleaned it up and I bought it the next day!

Went in for a truck...

I was looking at a 4 cyl. 5 speed canyon...got to the showroom waiting for my salesman and the wife saw the orange SS on the showroom floor and nudged me. What is that she asked. After a second we both looked at each other and said..."we're not getting a truck are we". We did test drive a stick 2.4 while they were getting the SS out of the showroom though. The 2.4 was a very nice car also, but we liked the looks of the SS better and really liked the added power.

Nope, I'm not a fan of how the LS/LT HHR's look. I went straight for the SS.

Ha, ha. The Black SS was the only HHR on the lot (thank God b/c I didn't know any better at the time). So I bought it! And I love it! And now I'm so glad I bought the SS!!!
