I'm trying not to run my ruby red in the sloppy stuff. I'm fortunate that my son has a company truck so I use his aveo to bomb back and forth to work(i bought it for him anyhow). It's not because I don't think it can't handle it, I just want to preserve it for as long as I can. I really like this ride, it's the first car I ever had that makes me giggle every time I drive it. Salt is an evil substance, and they through tons of it down every time their is a cloud in the sky. If I were to run it all the time, I would get a set of winter tires and wheels, I'm sure is would do well in the snow with the fwd and lsd. Lucky for me that the winter has been very mild this year and I have been driving it most of the time.

Mine is a DD, but when it gets white out I go for one of the V8's. Normally it's the Avy, since it's the oldest and least painful in the event of other folk driving by braille. I can and have driven the SS in snow without issue, but as someone else pointed out, the stock michelins leave a lot to be desired. The only thing to get put away for the winter is the D675....sportbike tires don't like cold weather, and what's the point of riding if you can't scare yourself silly with some speed?

Boarders eff up the mountain..........To each his own though. Had I started snow sports later in life I probably would have been a boarder. Ski boots suck.

I put mine away for hibernation and drive a winter beater (96 Aerostar awd). With my coilovers I think it's just not practical and I can't bare the thought of all that salt slowly rotting her away. I have just a tick over 10,000 miles on my SS bought in June 10'. One other good thing is it's kind of like driving a new car every spring!

Mine is. My 09 has 74,305 on it. It will be 3 years old next month. I commute 108 miles everyday. I moved a year and half ago and it kills me to put so many miles on it, but thats life. Now I cant wait to get rid of it. Trading it in next year for something that wont require premium only fuel and gets 40-42 on the Highway. I am averaging 24-25 mpg right now. Hi perf is no longer needed........

Bought mine last June 2011, with 25K. Changed the oil today with 47500 on it. I drive it every where. Hate the rock chips. Might have to get the front nose repainted. Still on the original tires but they are wearing down. Trying to decide on what replacements I should go with? I use 87 octane & get 27.5 mpg. Don't hot rod it, so no need for high octane gas.
