Does it fit?

I had a "mod" moment and just ordered the Street Scenes bowtie replacement emblems. (I should have stopped and thought about "fit" a little bit more.) From pics I've looked at..... it looks like a fit. Anyone out there cut off the old and put on the new?

I have a set to put on and they look like they should fit with no issue. All the Street Scene bow ties I have seen on trucks look fine in stock grilles.

I was just waiting till it warmed up a little more so the tape will stick better. I will post pics once I get them done.

I really have two sets. I was not sure which ones to use the plain satin ones or the polished out lined ones. I am still waiting for the polished ones to show up at work.

The satin ones look fine and should fit with no issues. It is hard to decide what to use just from a picture

Sad to say I found out the hard way...... NOT EVEN CLOSE!
The piece I got from Sport Truck Direct (drop shipped from Street Scene) left much to be desired. There is tool marks on the edges and they missed it big time on the top to bottom radius. Heck the thing is plain flat

I give the above mentioned product and the people responsible "TWO BIG THUMBS DOWN"

Hyper, hope your chrome is better than my paper weight.

And forget the rear....it's on back order and they don't tell ya....give me my money back.

I told you the rear ones were on back order for at least 2 more weeks in my one post. I don't think anyone has them anywhere since they have been on Back order for a long time. I spoke to Mike at Street Scene and he said they had MFG issue and they are now being made.

Summit has one solid satin front that is good because I returned it when I decided to go Polished out line. I held it up and if fit just as well as the one I installed.

It almost sounds as if you got a rear mispackaged as a front. The rear is nearly flat or even one from a truck front is nearly flat too.

They make these for about 15 different chevys and most are flat.

Als if it was for the trucks they sit resessed in the grill so they may not finish the edges on them because you can't see them.

Either way it sounds like it may not be the part number on the package that was intended for the HHR.

I work in the performance aftermarket and mis boxes are something that happen to all companies.

I work retail too..... I'm sure we could share some good ones.
I ordered before you posted, heck for that matter, before I posted the Does it fit question. When I opened it up...it was like.....it might fit....I wasn't exactly looking for perfection but dang....not even close. I'd post the pic I sent to Mike but I can't post on here. And I still stand with what I posted.

Like I said it does not sound like a HHR Bow Tie. If it is then they really missed on that one. Mine stuck on just like the stock one and the other one I had was just the same. No issues.

Mine fit a little better and the black blends it a little more.

I did find a small gap in mine but I went to my trusty roll of byutl rubber sealer and just pulled it like a rubber band till thinned out slid it behind the top of the bow tie and released it till it expanded up to fill the small gap.

I want to see a front view of it.

I am going to wash mine tonight and will try to get some new pictures if it is not too dark.

That doesn't look like a "custom fit part"....... Might look great from the front, but the fit is just wrong.

I got another name for it.......I won't use it today 'cause I'm in a better mood. I did learn a 85 dollar lesson from it.
