quote "Also, of the pictures I've found of the muffler, it looks more of a chambered design, then a straight though as you say.
Do you have a picture of a cut open one to show the straight through flow?
Thanks"

How about this. The SS 5 speed muffler off my car. I took a single piece of metal pipe and put it through the muffler to show that it's a straight through design.

That looks like an optical illusion, lol. But it does prove it's a straight through design.
George why did you use an aftermarket muffler if the OEM is a straight though design?

Wanted a little different sound. Besides. Looks like a good weight reduction after I took off the stock "garbage can sized muffler" and replaced it with this:

What is the difference in sound?
Does it lean toward the "rice" thing?
What part number is it?
Yeah, shoot me, I have to ask questions, lol.

No "rice" on my SS. In fact, none of that snap, crackle or pop either. I went with this muffler after a recommendation from one of our members, SS fan.
He's running a dual set up(2 mufflers, 2 tailpipes) of these on his SS.
Also don't get any highway drone with this one.
A little louder, a little deeper sound.

Don't recall the exact part #, but they do come in several inlet/outlet variations.
Just do a google search for Flowmaster HP2 shorties.

(Sorry 2005HHRauto for semi-hijacking your thread)

You have the e47.5 tune available? I would greatly appreciate that but I cant find it :)

I would suggest that you send him a PM, he may not be subscribed to this thread.
