Thanks, appreciate the compliment. Can't really comment on the RPD, never seen one live, buy the pictures of it look cool. Wasn't available to us Canadians when I placed my order and even if it was the insane delay in making it available for standard transmissions would have driven me nuts. So actually no choice in my case.

As you saw in the RPD thread, some people weren't happy with the location. I'm fine with where it is, and the graphics and screen are clean and very easy to read. I like the way the graphic fonts match the speedo font. There's some color options, but the default mode looks the best by far. It's not something I would have bought if my car didn't already have it...the whole HHR SS thing happened very quickly and suddenly, and since my SS was the only one I ever test-drove I assumed that all SSes came with them. I usually do a lot more research before buying a new car, but like I said, all of this took place in a pretty short amount of time...less than a week.

Exactly the opposite for me. A lot of research and patience while I waited for the SS Panel to be announced, ordered it immediately, well immediately after convincing a dealer that such a beast did really exist. I was actively involved in the RPD Thread at the time as that was also a new feature (option) announced for the 09 SS.

Is this for real? An SS A-Pillar with multiple pods? Two or three? I'm sure a lot of ppl will be all over this if it's for real.

Not an SS specific, genral a pillars. Pep boys had 1,2 and 3 pod, black plastic pillars . They were in a yellow box. when i stop back buy there i'll get the name of the mfg. I'm sure they won't be as well built as yours, but for the price. and who knows how well of a fit they'll be ?

yep aware of the generic pods. Probably would have been easier to start out with tone of these and modded it to my liking.
