E47 tune
as I understand it ethonal has a much higher octane but not as much"energy" per gallon Vs gasoline. Ethonal burns at lower temp as well. that means less MPG for E85 vs gasoline or E47. so on big turbos etc they often need bigger injectors and cam pump lobes to keep up with the additional fuel needs. that being said it might be easer to just run a straight 85 tune as long as you can readily get it.
Wow, I didn't know that, plus you answered my next question about the octane. (the station near me say 105 octane on them) So it sounds like I would need to change my injectors to really see any kind of a improvement. Now I understand why the E47 mix. Thank you for the info.
E47 has been proven to be the best fuel for the LNF engine.
No fuss, no muss, plain & simple.
You don't have to worry about changing injectors, or anything...
I'ts the best "bang-for the-buck", mod that you can do, with the greatest rewards.
A truly simple mod, easy to fill your tank with a 50/50 mix.
Each "hash" mark on your fuel gauge is 2 gallons, BUT, there is trick to this.
When filling, always subtract one.
So you pull up to the pump, down 6 "hash" marks on the gauge, times 2 = 12, minus 1 = 11. I then pump 5.5 gallons of E85, & 5.5 gallons of premium gas.
Plain & simple, I have been doing it this way for 5 years now...
So much smooth power with E47.
I can "floor" the petal at 40mph, & burn rubber...
if I stay out of boost, when going to the track, I can get 30mpg...
No fuss, no muss, plain & simple.

The ECM will take care of it...
I used to test my mixture, E70 is fine...
I've stayed with a 50/50 mix for 5 years now, the ECM will easily adjust , for E70...
