Emmissons Testing HELP!

I have a 2009 HHR SS that was tuned by BYT. It has a ZZP Catless down pipe and failed Pennsylvania state emissions testing. I thought that tuning would take care of this? If I have to go buy a GM down pipe then I guess I will have to, but I cant keep taking my car back and forth and paying for failed tests.

Sounds about right to me, no catalytic converter, no pass the test. Dont they make a catted down pipe, that would probably do the trick for you.

Find somebody cool that will just plug it in the OBDII and run the test, as long as there is no CEL it will pass as long as the inspector is cool slip them a $20 or something.

Are they doing a visual inspection? There are several catless dp that will not set a cel and allow you to pass obd II inspection. I have a Hahn catless and have not had any problems. If the o2 sensor is directly in the exhaust stream you will have problems...you need an angled o2 sensor bung on the downpipe.

There's no visual inspection or "sniffer" test in my county. Apparently something in the OBDII Failed the emissions test because it wasn't ready?

Not to be snotty or anything, but wouldn't the first step be asking the inspector what the problem is? How you gonna fix somethin' that you don't know is broke? "something in the OBDII" is not a clue.
