Any of those should work. The first(cheapest) is ACDelco, it's for the LHU. I had to remove my stock HPFP from my LNF and install it on my new LHU(same engine as LDK).

You can go with the lesser cost pump and install it yourself.
It's not hard.
Try using YouTube to see how it's done.

Thanks for all the help.

My other mechanic will be checking out the car soon, and if I have to go the route of replacing the HPFP, I will help him source one and use that code.

I will post again when I get updates.

I realize this post is 3 years old, but curious if the HPFP solved the issue?

I'm having a similar issue where I am only able to build about 10 psi boost during acceleration until I reset the engine code P2188. Once I reset the code, I'm able to build 20 psi no problem.

Current mods to my 2009 Auto SS w/ 150k miles:
-ZZP High flow intake
-ZZP High flow downpipe
-GM Stage 1 sensors from ZZP
-PCM/TCM tune from ZZP

Thanks for the help!

If you don't have the fuel pressure related codes like the OP, then your problem is more likely a vacuum/ boost leak. Check out my post #15 here https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/hhr-...e2/#post914182 there's a link to a homemade boost leak tester.

You might check the connections on the MAF and the O2 sensors and the MAP; especially if you have the GMTU.

Thank you guys! I will give both of these a try and report back with results!
What's pointing me to the HPFP is the dipstick smells pretty strongly of gasoline. Are there any other reasons for the oil to smell like gas?

An interesting non-discrepancy. Our list of OBD2 DTCs lists P2188 just as donbrew states, fuel trim rich. All over the internet it's referred to as fuel system too lean. So they're saying the same thing, worded differently. Maybe the name of the test has been renamed.
