Factory Plug from harness to module

I need the factory plug or at least and explanation of what the small gauge green wire is used for. The factory plug has 12 VDC on the (2) large wires that feed power to the module mounted to fan assembly, but what does the light gauge green wire do? Due to a defective module and the cost of a new one, I am an old "Hot Rodder" so I used the (2) large 12 VDC wires only and connected to an after market fan cycle switch, (2) things happen (1) the Service Engine Light stays on (2) the fan does not cut on w/ the a/c until the water temp. gets to it's set point. Of course this makes the a/c compressor trip on/off due to head pressure until the fan water temp reaches the right temp for the fan to come on. Does anyone have a Plug from wiring harness side to module or willing to sell the entire fan assembly with the plug?
Thanks...
Charlie

You had this posted at the end of an old long thread in the Audio video section. I moved it here.

Please tell us exactly what you are asking. Year, model, what connector exactly. I think I know, but I'm not going to waste my time looking on guess work.

Glad you had the time to waste, I can rewire it now that I have your diagram. Thanu you for your help. Will this take care of my Service Engine light as well if I have it reset?
Thanks....

And this is why we ask that folks don't post all over the place with the same question. I just spent 15 minutes .

I doubt that rewiring will do the job, the control module is a semi-conductor switch that controls the SPEED of the fan.

Yeah you can't safely put 12v to a circuit these days and expect things to work.
We have computers to thank for needing an engineering degree to work on cars these days.

I have a 2010 SS and I need the wiring harness side plug for the cooling module. It has (2) large gauge wires and then a small gauge green wire. I can find everything I need with the exception of this plug. The old one was damaged and discarded. Thanks for any help.
