Wow.. I just wasted way too much time reading every post on this thread! It is confirmed that many SS owners think they are on a different level than the rest of us. This website is a forum for all us to come together. Me personally, I would not put SS badges on my car. I have an early 2006 2lt. I am very proud to have the orginal 1st year HHR. To be honest, I think my car looks better than most, no need to try to be what it isn't. But I am about looks rather than speed, I ride low and slow!!!! Todd (Uma)

Bingo

The whole thing boils down to ego. Like someone said in an previous post - Let It Go.

Oh wow, this thread grew! I will clarify and restate what I said earlier. I DO think it is very dumb to put SS badges on your car if you do not really and truly own an SS. However, I think it was dumb of GM period to offer the SS name on an HHR, or SSR, or Trailblazer, or slobalt etc. The SS belongs on the cars it grew up with.

Secondly, what is more angering than all that, is the o.p. making an ass of himself while doing it trying to race this "SS". Just let it go, you are embarrassing the rest of us.

I have agree here. I'd rather have my Daytona Blue 06 than a SS.

I definatly have to agree here.

If decals/badges make you mad or upset, you just have issues.....

As I've stated before, In no way was I trying to race this guy. Just because I accelerated next to him, thats racing?

And in no way am I actually mad or angry. I let it go the moment this guy was in my rear view mirror but continued to have a conversation because this is a forum, where people discuss things.

Your whole ss argument is bs too. If we follow your line of thought only impala's can wear the ss badge. Whats the difference between 6 (camaro) and 47(hhr) years? both weren't the "original" ss models?

My guess, he was just ignoring you.

So I am glad I got to that before you got a chance to edit your post. That sure sounds like you were trying to get the guy to run you.

"It's obvious it was just a sticker mod" yeah because completely ignoring an idiot on the street absolutely negates the fact he could have had an actual turbo under his actual hood, and actually could have reamed you.

You make it sounds like your almighty 2.2/2.4 is the **** compared to his LOWLY ss badged 2.2/2.4. What would have made this story just one step better is he would have mashed it raped you on the road, and left YOU in the mirror. But I bet we would be getting the same story anyway. Either way dude, you made your self look like an ass, you still are, and....wipe my hands...done.

I don't see what it matters, I mean it's the guys own car....let him do whatever he wants with it. I don't think he's trying to fool anyone. There's a lady in town with an Aveo with SS badges on it. I don't think she's trying to fool anyone, it's a joke.

If you want to do that, go for it... And I like that statement about you make yourself mad...a good one!
