You could also attach magnets to plate, should stick to metal under the plastic if the magnet is strong enough

Rodney nice choice of color, mine is an Automatic.

Rainman, unfortunately Texas still requires a front license plate so I will have to put on on soon. guess I will have to purchase a bracket for it, I wish they would do away with that law in Texas!
Do a search here as I and a couple others have electric flip up plates. They mount under the air dam and will pop up with a remote button.

They are easy to mount and wire.

They are available at most Corvette parts places and Summit Racing.

They have a manual one too for $49.

Besides they are also fun to watch peoples reactions when it flips up. THe remote is wireless so you can stand away from the car and put it up.

Either way it is better than drilling holes.
