FQ7 4.05 final drive transaxle

Is this a fairly common transaxle in the Ss?

Thanks

There is automatic and 5 speed and that's about it. The SS has a Saab trans. There may have been a positraction option.

Thank you for the reply. Yes it has limited slip option and the Brembo brakes.

Did most of the SS Persians have the limited slip M Brembo brakes? I've looked all through this site and the internet and I can't seem to find anything specific

What's a Persian? Iranian

No performance package was optional. As far as I know (not much) there was no final drive options, just auto, 5-speed, 5-speed LSD. I think they may have played with the final drive in different years, trying to diddle MPG for CAFE.

SS Persians ? ? ?

Limited slip and Brembos were only available with the 5 speed SS.
Some early 08's had the limited slip option but not the Brembos.
09's and 2010's had the Performance Package option which was limited slip w/Brembo front brakes.
This package wasn't available for any of the automatic trans. cars.

You really should get past this thought that your HHR SS is going to ever be collectable or more valuable than it is right now. It will continue to depreciate and every dollar you put into it, you won't get it back when you sell it. Even the low mileage ones are worth much less than MSRP. Sorry FMG(but I'm sure you know this well).

Yes I do.
Had planned on keeping mine a long time but circumstances have me thinking about selling my SS. IF I do, I realize that the market won't be kind to me on the value. Thinking that a 8k to 10k dollar range is all I can expect.
