Front rotor and brake question

Front rotor and brake question
Hello I want to replace my rotors as they've got quite a bit of gouging on them from the previous owner.
Has anyone used the Centric 12162116 rotors on RockAuto? They say that they fit the SS with the Brembo package?
Also any experience with ceramic brake pads?
Thanks !!!

PowerStop are a good brand, a nice kit for just the front
The Centric rotors are less expensive, but don’t seem to have any corrosion protection

When I upgraded my 2008 to the Brembo brakes I used ACDELCO 18A2938 rotors and the OE Brembo (Ferro) pads. They have been nothing short of amazing so far. I could not be happier with either part. I have used Centric rotors in the past and I have been pleased with those as well. I would suggest getting rotors with the painted hat though to reduce rust.

Your showing vented and slotted rotors. Wasn't there a discussion on this forum about this, that talked about it wasn't beneficial for you install them, because of lesser stopping power and eating up pads ?

That was one of several different opinions regarding cross-drilled/slotted rotors. I do not believe there was any definitive conclusion out of the several discussions of it.
IMHO - there is nothing wrong with the slotted and drilled rotors - I've used them on several different vehicles with good success - the pads didn't seem to wear any faster, and the wheels did not get dirtier faster either.
I'd do them again.

Just my opinion but on my SS with Brembos, I'm not going to be looking at the Economy, cheaper rotors. Go ahead and spend a little more for a quality rotor and good set of pads.
They are considered performance brakes. They really need quality parts for them to work to their potential.

There you go, and trust me, FMG knows his SS.
I posted for comparison, not to endorse slotted and drilled rotors
I have stopped using that type and changed back to AC Delco premium brake pads and smooth rotors.
I have SS non Brembo front brakes.
