I don't think you should go overboard. Fuel into the crankcase points to the fuel pump before injectors.
An injector would give you some type of miss or poor performance. Maybe not even idle smoothly.
Change that part out with the oil and monitor the oil level from there.
Did the oil light come on at any point?

Cat man thanks for the advice. Just finished the Indy 500. Out to the shop to check plugs. I never did get a miss or code and it idled just fine. So I am hoping that the HPFP was the problem. It doesn't smell like fuel as much too. It has fresh oil now.
I will update on the condition of the plugs and thanks for all the help.

Ok, all 4 spark plugs looked great. Tan and gapped to 33 thousands.
And no fuel smell. Looking more like the problem was the HPFP and not the Injectors

I will update if anything changes.

Don't reinvent the wheel. Go with what is logical.

Don't ever touch the whisker on a Iridium plug with anything! Even checking the gap can damage them.

Too late. But didn't hurt them. Runs great. I never had a problem with the iridium plugs in my Ducati. Just need to be gentle.
