sorry but my english is not so good ,,,,,,i have a lot of questions ....my 2008 hhr ss had a Plakette P E R F O M A N C E ......whats means this ??????? in Germany we have 8 hhr ss ,,,,,,,because we cannot buy this car hhr ss ...only the hhr lt ,i buy my hhr ss in Austria /Salzburg .it was the one and only in Austria ..... please can i have an answer what it means P E R F O R M A N C E ???????

 

First, welcome to the site.
Second, are you positive you have a REAL SS? Can you see a Turbo Charger under the hood?
Third, if it is a real SS; does it have any Turbo modifications? Like GM Turbo Upgrade (GMTU).

I suspect that the plakette was added by a previous owner, but it may signify a upgrade. Some of our SS guys should be jumping in to tell you how to tell if you have upgrades.

 

Easiest would be to post some pictures of under the hood.

The obvious things such as the body differences in front and rear bumper im assuming the car has. Ss badges you said you have.

Engine bay has a lot of very noticeable things. Turbo Actually tucked back in passenger firewall area not very easy to see but other things are.

The air box top says ecotech turbo on a plaque on a light gray air box.

They are stock turbo cars not supercharged. The cobalt came in an SS supercharged.

There is no supercharged hhr unless its modified that way.

If you're talking about the little silver plaque under the hood, all the SS's came with one. It just signifies that the SS's were developed under the guide of the GM Performance Division.
