Hhr ss
Hhr ss
Question here to anyone who can help
I own a 2009 HHR SS 5 speed in Black with Sunroof. Trying to decifer what i actually have and the value of said vehicle
It doese'nt have any rear quarter windows but does have the SS rear 60/40 seats. Previous owner removed the original electric windowed rear doors and added full panel doors! Why IDK but he said he wanted that look
Vin# is 3GNCA73XX9S634456
The driver door decal has been cleaned so much it is not legible.
Any help would be appreciated TIA

The AA5 option or half panel SS is the rarest of the HHR’s !
check your glove box RPO code sticker for that one.
I don’t know why anybody would order an AA5 and convert it to panel doors as there would be no poppers to open the doors.
In 2009 Chevrolet produced 199 AA5 SS and 216 panel SS vehicles, factor in you have a 5 speed manual and you have a keeper!

Walked past her in a shop 100 times, thought it was a PT. Then i noticed the SS emblems, did a lil research and purchaed it. Hasnt seen sunlight in 5 years
She's all cleaned up now with a laundy list of items we are correcting. Along with some fresh paint by a very repuatble high end body shop. KYP

VIN decoder confirms it's a 2009 SS wagon, not a panel. Therefore, the absence of the rear windows proves it had the AA5 half panel option. That's slightly more rare than the full panel SS, but not necessarily more valuable, maybe because it's just an option not its own model that the full panel was.
One option, if it's not too rusty and worth restoring, would be to find the correct door with windows. That could be tricky because the interior trim needs to color match and there were 3 option. You might be able to sell the panel doors for more.

I would certainly expect AA5 on the RPO label, because I don't understand how it could not be an AA5 if there are no rear windows and it's a wagon.
You understand I've been talking about the REAR windows, right? Cargo bay. Not the passenger door windows? That wouldn't make sense.
