Id be interested to hear your idea of the criteria needed to be worthy of an SS badge.

"any SS car must have absolute world class levels of stopping power, acceleration, and ability to go around corners"

After watching that video like I am sure you have, seems like you should have gotten your answer. Per moderator request, I am done here. At least I know where opinions stand around here.

Yessir, sounds like an 86 Monte SS to me, or a 65 Chevelle SS, or a 74 Nova SS, Or, well, you get my point.

It's more deserving than MANY cars GM has slapped an SS badge on.

If you will dig around for the post I made way back when about SS badging, I believe I made it quite clear that the HHR SS is not the only vehicle I have this opinion about. It should also be noted that for the time period, some SS cars were top of the crop, al beit not by today's standards but by the time periods standards.

That was kind of my point. All the SS's of the past, can not match these qualities described By Bob Luts. My apologies to my older brother who had to learn the hard way......That his 68 Chevelle SS cant hang with my HHR SS.

Back to the OP and his statement, who the hell cares?!? I didn't buy the car based on how other people feel about it. As for if the HHR deserves an SS badge, again who the hell cares?!? I didn't buy it because it had an SS badge on it. In fact, my badge is gone.

Your opinion of the HHR SS is well known.

Not particularly supported by facts or even your own proclaimed standards, but well known.

The HHR SS is NOT a Z06, nor does it claim to be. It is a better handling, faster, and higher trimmed version of the base HHR, which is precisely what the legendary SS cars were. Except for perhaps that 74 Nova....
