so you beat a C5 with bolt ons that was set up for the bottle but wasnt running on bottle but yet you lost to a LS1 Z28 with full exhaust and a tune

Please note your mods before someone here that does not know your mods think your stock.
We have alot of new people here and I hate to see them pick on the wrong person stock.
I hate to see a stock HHR SS be on someone's kill list.

I was trying to avoid filling up this thread with answering questions, but here you go. The purpose of this list is to avoid the n00b questions like "Can my HHR SS beat ..." so I'm sure it will be helpful. I posted it here because I wanted it to be SS specific, as opposed to the racing forum where we'd end up with HHR LS vs. Kia. No offense guys.
You're right. Nitrous cars tuned for big shots pull alot of timing, so they're alot slower off bottle than they would be with an NA tune. I've beaten two different C5's with two different drivers under the same conditions, so it's not a fluke.
The Z28 is my best friends car. He was with me when the second kill happened last night, and ran first. He was beating the C5 worse than I was... until the button was pushed and the C5 blew by. He didn't turn on the camera when I ran because he thought the C5 would spray me too, but he was a good sport and didn't. Wish that camera was on so I'd have some CGI for you guys. We got in three good runs, and I got him every time.
LS1 GTO's need work to keep up. A tune won't do it. LS2 GTO's are a good run from the right roll, but I haven't ran a stock one yet. Here's another death for you since you seem to like GTO's. I didn't expect to win this one, but I like to know where I stand. 512whp GTO with a big cam. I yanked him from a 40, and then he walked away pretty quickly. LOL! He was still impressed.

From a dig you guys are right. From a roll, 425hp and awd don't mean much when you weigh that much. I took the move from a 60 roll last night, and he didn't pass till I shut down at the top of fourth. He was pulling closer top end, so I'm not sure what the result would have been if we started at the same time. The move is a big advantage from a 40-60 roll. I think I would have gotten him from a 40 if we shut down in fourth, and if I didn't, I would have stayed with him quite nicely.
I don't think I'm faster than any of the other tuned guys are. You just need to go play with the big boys and see who you can surprise.
Make them run you from a 40, and brake boost HARD.

my guess is the guy (or girl) in the C5 couldnt drive or it is a total piece off the bottle
other than that I believe the rest of the kill list, lol ..... If the GTO had a tune that might be a diff story since they come so de-tuned from the factory.....good post, thanks for sharing....get a kick out of the others on the kill list!! GREAT JOB
