VIN digits 5-6 encode the trim level (LS, 1LT, 2LT, SS) and the transmission, auto or manual. In this case according to the VIN listed there, it's an SS automatic (A6).

^ This sounds much better. I got mine at a Ford dealer, and they really knew almost nothing about it - including the fact that it had a limited-slip! They did say "it's a really fast little car", though.

Buyback SS

I came across a Victory Red 2010 HHR SS for $16,995 at Faulkner GMC Buick. It only has 1957 miles on it. I called and was told it was a GM Buyback. When it was new, the check engine light kept coming on.

Sounds like. A good. Deal but. In ny last time i saw a ny gm buy back title it was branded with something stating it was. Lemon. I would not be worried. Myself but resale could hurt ya.
Makes ya wonder though if people atd really. Paying 15000 for an ss with sY 50000 on it when u cN buy one with almost no miles for a little. More.
