My point exactly, some of us that have been on this forum for years just reply to people's posts to be supportive and let them know that they are heard, no matter the subject. Just saying! todd (Uma)

I wanted to Cash for Clunkers my 95 Lincoln Town Car. I really wanted a Solstice, but the only eligible model would be a GXP stick. Now I really couldn't afford the GXP, and U know who wouldn't let me get a stick, but I liked idea of the 2.0 Turbo, and the Cobalt SS was only available with a stick (plus only $3500 CFC), so I looked at the HHR SS. Available with auto and it got $4500 CFC because it is a "truck". So with $11000 of MSRP it was a deal I couldn't refuse.

If people would read and abide by these: Site Rules then there wouldn't be any problems. So the guy forgot to put SS in his title not that it would have made any difference. He did manage to put in the HHR SS forum and he did start off by saying:

That's why there are different forums for different categories. Otherwise why not just post EVERYTHING to General HHR. Just Saying One of the many reasons I'm glad I no longer moderate BTW, from a newbie it's understandable but from a long time member it just gets annoying for those that have to fix it (it was to me anyhow).

BTW, to keep this post on topic, when I noticed there was an Orange SS on the lot there were also 2 black ones. We had already decided though that we were either going to get a Silver or Orange one so this made the decision so much easier. Couldn't be happier with my color choice.

It's funny, I KNEW I was going to see posts like this once I pointed out what datedd's intention was. Don't get all defensive and make me or datedd sound like exclusionary jerks now because you missed his point. Maybe the thread title is a little misleading, but like HillsdaleHHR correctly pointed out, it was pretty obvious (or should have been) from the very first sentence what stories he was interested in hearing, and it was posted in the correct forum.

If I had come across a post that read something like: "So how did you LT owners buy your sweet rides?", I wouldn't have posted my SS story. And I wouldn't have felt left out or ticked about it.

Only owned my '08 LT AA5 for 6 months when we decided to trade my wife's Saturn in for a Cobalt.

While there I asked them if I could try out one of the new SS models they had received and that was basically that. We left with two new Chevys that day.

Out of curiosity did you consider an SS model for the Cobalt as well? And did you get any sweet discounts due to the fact that you bought two new cars?

Oh my, Title changed, so there is no confusion as to the OPs intent.
